Photos: High-tech travel at St Pancras

Once passengers have their ticket, they pass through these gates to the Eurostar departure lounge which, among other things, has a Wi-Fi lounge and digital art installations.

The hope is the large number of e-ticket machines will mean there are fewer queues and people can quickly pass through to passport control and the bag drop desks on the other side.
